Becoming a Person of Influence – Why do I need to become a person of influence?
The current buzz in our industry is about web 2.0 technology, social marketing and attraction marketing. All 3 of these ideas are exciting and beneficial to the budding business builder. All of these are means to an end. That end involving a solid business being built that will provide a good income for the home based business owner.
So, what does influence have to do with it? If you want to effectively utilize the latest marketing techniques, you must learn that you have influence on others and how to effectively channel your influence. Think about the leaders in our industry. Every person in our industry who is making a lot of money all have influence. Eben Pagan, Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Russell Brunson, Joe Shroeder and Mike Klingler. All of these people have developed a life changing income from their ability to influence others.
The person who influences others is the one who builds the most solid business, mlm, network marketing or affiliate marketing business. The person who ignores influence continues to settle for mediocrity. One thing I’d like to point out here is that quality is more important than quantity. If you focus on the quality of your influence, the quantity will come. What does that mean? It means that you start by effectively influencing a few. Those few will lead to a few more, and so on and so on until your life and business will blossom as a result of your influence.
This series of lessons will focus on helping you understand influence and equip you to better influence others.
APPLICATION
Take a look at your current online setup. Are you effectively influencing others through your use of web 2.0, attraction marketing and social marketing? Are people joining your business?
Take a piece of paper and list out everything that deals with your ability to influence others online. Place a number between 1 & 10 next to each piece of information. 1 being no little to no influence on others, 10 being a primary source of your ability to influence others. Grade yourself.
